Adrick Family Scholarship

The Adrick Family Scholarship in the amount of $2,500 is made possible through a generous donation by Jay & Mary Ann Adrick.  Long time residents of Madeira, Mary Ann taught at Madeira Elementary School and Jay spent many years in the broadcast business and is a regular volunteer in our high school digital media program helping to produce “What’s up Madeira.” Both their daughters, Suzy Adrick Tucker and Melissa Adrick Unger graduated from Madeira and currently work in the district.  The Adrick Family Scholarship is to be awarded to a Madeira High School graduating senior who will be attending a college or university to study and major in a Science ,Technology Engineering, Math or an Electronic Media related program.  The scholarship committee consisting of Madeira High School teachers from the STEM and Electronic Media programs will select a deserving student based on criteria including academic achievement, demonstration of a strong desire to pursue a career in one of these fields.

  • This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who demonstrates a strong desire to pursue a career in the fields of STEM or electronic media.
  • Criteria for selection:
    • Demonstration of a desire to pursue a career in the fields of STEM or electronic media
    • Academic achievement
    • Economic need

Interested candidates will need to provide responses to the following:

  • Please describe your future goals in terms of your college education and career in science, technology, engineering, mathematics or electronic media.
  • What experiences have you already had that sparked your interest in STEM or electronic media?
  • How will receiving this scholarship help you pursue your educational goals?
  • The judging committee will consist of the Madeira School’s Foundation Scholarship Committee and a school-based committee representing the Adrick family, science, math, and media departments.
