🎓 Alumni in the News: Andrew Whitson ’21 Goes the Distance—102 Miles for a Cause

On July 19–20, 2025, Madeira High School alumnus Andrew Whitson (Class of 2021) completed an incredible 24-hour endurance run to raise money for Undue Medical Debt, a nonprofit that helps eliminate medical debt for those in need.

Andrew began his challenge at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, and ran continuously until 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 20, finishing his final miles right where his journey began, on the Madeira High School track.

Not only did Andrew complete the full 24 hours, he exceeded his goal, running an astonishing 102.3 miles and raising $10,237.16 for the cause.

His determination, compassion, and hometown pride are a true reflection of the Madeira spirit. We’re proud to share his inspiring story!
